BUILD IT SUMMIT PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of this privacy policy (hereinafter the "Policy"), as well as any documents referred to herein, is to explain how, on our website https://buildit-summit.com/ (hereinafter the "Site"), the organizer of the Build It Summit (hereinafter “We”) collects your Personal Data as data controller through various channels. It also contains information on the type of data collected, how it is processed and for what purposes, so as to make its use the most suitable for your needs.

We process your Personal Data in our capacity as data controller and in compliance with the principles laid down by the regulations applicable to the protection of Personal Data, and in particular the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended and the General Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679 (“GDPR”) (hereinafter together the "Personal Data Regulations").

For the purposes of this Policy, the term "Personal Data" refers to any information about you that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual.

This Policy may be subject to change in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory context, or as a result of developments in our business and, in particular, in the products and services we offer you.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Purposes for which data is collected

In the context of your pre-registration on the Site, we will process your data:

• to manage the online sale of tickets for the Build It Summit;
• to manage the organization of the events you have registered for;
• to email communications that may include promotions, discounted ticket notifications, news, and invitations to exclusive events.

Date retention period

We collect and retain your Personal Data under the following conditions:

• Personal Data, which you have communicated to us, allowing us to contact you, will be kept for 3 years following your (pre)registration for an event.
• Personal Data collected for communication purposes is kept for 3 years from the date of each communication or request, or from your last activity on the Site in the case of commercial prospecting;
• Personal Data collected for Site access purposes is kept for 3 years from your last activity on the Site;
• Personal Data collected in the context of cookies (audience measurement, personalized advertising) is kept for 13 months from the date of deposit. Your choices (consent or refusal of cookies) are retained for 6 months from the date of your consent;
• Personal Data collected for the purpose of exercising your rights are kept for 1 to 6 years, depending on the right exercised, from the date of your request;
• Personal Data collected in order to make your profiling data available to our partners (social networks) for the purposes of improving customer knowledge and sending you personalized advertising for a maximum period of 24 months in pseudonymized form, and are deleted by our partners after this period;
• Personal Data collected by video surveillance camera during the Build It Summit event in order to ensure the safety of the premises and the people present at the event may be kept for a maximum of 1 month from the time your image is recorded. In the event of disciplinary or criminal proceedings, the images are extracted from the system and kept for the duration of the proceedings.

At the end of the retention periods described above, your Personal Data will be deleted or, in the case of data which we are legally obliged to retain or which is necessary to safeguard our rights, placed in an archive and retained for an additional period corresponding to the period detailed above. At the end of this period, your Personal Data will be deleted.

RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

In connection with the organization of the event, we may share your Personal Data, as necessary, with our partners, subcontractors and suppliers and only for the needs of this organization and the purposes described in the preceding paragraph.

We ensure that our partners and subcontractors process your data in accordance with the provisions of this Policy.

We will never sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your Personal Information to third parties other than ours partners or contractors except in connection with (i) a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of the company's assets, (ii) in response to legal or administrative process of any kind, or (iii) to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

When you send Personal Data to us via email, we use it to respond to your request. We reserve the right to forward your email to other internal services who are better able to respond to your inquiry. We do not share email addresses collected in this manner with any third party outside of our organisation. Information collected via email will be retained by us for as long as necessary to respond to your questions.

TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

We may transfer your Personal Data outside the European Economic Area and in such case, we undertake, in accordance with applicable law, to take all organizational and technical measures to ensure an adequate level of protection for your data.
